January 15th:

The JRD staff is back from Stuntwars without any outstanding warrants or hospital bills. Each January Team Xtreme puts on the largest Sportbike Freestyle competition on U.S. soil. This was the 7th year that Lakeland Florida played host to most of the worlds most talented Sportbike Freestyle riders. Attendance despite the rain was more than 10,000 over the two day event. Mother nature only butted in once on Sunday and after the brief rain delay riders charged the tarmac. Congratulations to everyone who took home medals and money. Best of luck and good mojo to everyone healing up right now. This year was the most brutal in history. Thanks to Todd, Adam, and Chris for a fun weekend. Be sure to check out the Stuntwars website at www.stuntwars.com. Photos of the action can be found at a dumb website called www.riotradio.com click on the Pics button. Or don't.

Keeping his good luck streak going, Jason flipped a stoppie during practice today. One week out from Stuntwars now unfortunately he will have to spend this year watching from the pits. Jason has been rolling impressive distance and stood a very good chance of making it to the podium again in Longest Endo. List of injuries: Chipped hip, severe bruising, chipped knee cap, busted nose, busted lip, and serious road rash. His custom Honda 929 faired considerably better than he did, apparently Jason heroically acted as a cushion for the bike as he strategically placed himself perfectly underneath it to absorb the majority of the 70mph impact. Very considerate.

December 12th:

While practicing at Calhoun MX track Rick over jumped a triple and broke both the radius and ulna in his left arm. He is now bandaged up and recovering well. Back at work in the shop just 3 days after the wreck he is turning wrenches like it was the day before the crash. 2 plates and 18 screws total. 37 staples to close both incisions. Champ.
